GrowCamp Grow Trays
The GrowCamp greenhouse system offers an economical, and versatile and modular system to grow your plants in shelter.
The New GrowCamp Grow Trays offer a flexible solution that lets you be able to grow all kinds of plants in pots and other containers. The self-supporting planting trays can be mounted on the edge of the bed. They can also be placed on the supporting pole above and function as an additional shelf. Each grow tray is about 15.74in (40 cm) wide and the trays can carry 22lbs (10 kg).
The GrowTrays are designed with deep wide groves for water storage. The trays are supplied with a capillary mat to be placed in the watering tray under the pots. The mat absorbs and distributes the water in the tray. Holes in the bottom of the pots provide a capillary effect which allows the soil and the roots to absorb the water they need. The Grow Trays can hold up to 4gallons (15 litres) of water, however, this is only recommended for short term applications.
The GrowCamp Grow Trays are excellent for growing seedlings. The heat is easily controlled by means of the plastic cover, which rolls up and down easily. In a grow tent with soil in the bed itself, it can be very advantageous to have one or two trays at the top for seedlings. Fencing
Fencing is an excellent way to protect your young plants or to mark the boundaries of your land. Our range of Rapid Smart Gardener Fence Pliers are designed as a versatile and quick fastening system for all types of link wire fencing. The Fence Pliers are ideal fencing tools for home & commercial gardens, parks and show-grounds. You can also use our pliers to make safety fences around open air swimming pools, schools and playgrounds and for protecting flower beds and trees, horticultural premises, commercial sites. Practically anywhere you need to fence off an area our fence pliers will do the trick.
We offer two models: the Rapid FP20 General Purpose and the FP222 Heavy Duty Plier.
The Rapid FP20 is a basic tool using single fixings that are available in both standard and heavy duty grade. The heavy duty FP222 offers multi-action with one load, light strong and fast fixing. It has a magazine that loads up to 50 Rapid heavy duty fence hog rings (model VR22).
The Smart Gardener fixing system works by using specially designed fence ‘hog’ rings which are quick and easy to use. Simply load the hog into the Rapid fence plier, place the mouth of the loaded plier over the wire link, tension the wire and squeeze; this closes the special fence hog wring around the wires for a strong fixing. Using the high capacity magazine model FP222, just simple repeat the action to complete the link wire fence enclosure. The system, that works equally well with either loose link or welded link wire fencing, is designed to ensure secure fast erection of enclosures there by saving both time and money.
The standard duty VR16 Hog Rings are ideal for short term fencing applications (protecting young plants); while the heavy duty VR22 rings are more suited for longer term solutions. In Brief: Our Stationary Compost Bins
29 May 2010We offer over 30 different kinds of composters, including stationary, tumbler, and worm bins. This diverse range of solutions offers several options for a variety of customer needs. We took a look at our compost bin category and made some short notes to help you decided on the compost bin that best fits your needs. This post will deal with our stationary bin selections.
Stationary Compost Bins – as the name suggests, these are basically holding units where you deposit your organic waste. You can use a tool to mix the composting material from time to time. This lineup includes the Compost Machine, Soil Saver, FeelGood Composter, Compost Converter. For those looking for a wooden compost bin, there is the 90 gallon wooden Eco-Composter. We also offer the Earthmaker and the Aerobin 400 which are designed for high capacity and easy access to the compost. Lastly, most of these bins can only accept food scraps, except the Green Johanna hot composter, which can break down materials including raw meat, dairy and bread.

The Green Cone Solar Digester is not a compost bin but rather another useful green living solution. Most compost bins are meant to handle garden waste such as grass trimmings, very few will handle kitchen waste such as meats and cooked food scraps. However, the Green Cone takes all household food waste, including vegetable scraps, raw and cooked meat or fish, bones, dairy products and other organic food waste such as bread and pasta. It reduces food waste to its natural components of water, carbon dioxide and a small residue.
Once installed the system can reduce your garbage by about20% and help reduce garbage odors. Furthermore, the system could reduce water usage since it can handle waste normally thrown into garbage disposal systems. Once installed the Green Cone is easy to use, and the manufacturer recommends cleaning only once a year!
